Prague airport for sale

Big financial boost to city budget

According to the ministry of finance, the planned sale of the state owned Prague International Airport might go ahead even though the second proposed runway has not been finished yet. The projected cost of acquiring the land and building the runway are approximately 250 million Euros. The government will be deciding whether it should first invest using state coffers and then get the money back via a much higher purchase price for the airport.

There are many subjects interested in acquiring the busiest airport in central Europe, and the government expects to get between 2,6 and 3,7 billion Euros from the acquisition. The sale of Prague Airport will provide sufficient funds to support many infrastructural projects in the city.
