REAL ESTATE NEWS

Out with the old and in with the click?

New media is becoming an industry standard

It used to be that real estate agents would put “FOR SALE” sign in front of the property with contact information for the potential customers. Not today!

Real estate agents in Prague are keeping pace with emerging trends of engaging new media in attraction potential customers. The web sites are getting more elaborate, new projects are featured with fantastic 3D animation and some properties even have their own blogs. Clients can see the ins an outs of every corner and browse through thousands of properties in a matter of minutes. With more and more people buying properties from abroad swift and efficient communication with the client is essential. Web sites are more than a simple virtual location to feature products; they are interactive and receive client request and feedback. Most important, they must have high page rank on search engines to be worth the effort.

And then there was Google…

Today’s clients have less and less time for browsing; if agencies do not appear among the top 10 listings on Google, it is highly unlikely to expect high level of queries and client feedback. Hence real estate agencies utilize different tools for online advertising and positioning themselves higher in the “Google hierarchy”. This phenomenon went beyond a simple search engine into global propelling force of information sharing; and the real estate agencies throughout Prague are joining the global movement of going online…almost exclusively.

What is the alternative?

There is really no alternative to the power of online advertising these days. Print advertising in carefully targeted trade publications compliments the overall awareness and might boost sales, again, if positioned extremely carefully.

In conclusion we’re looking at a future without FOR SALE signs by the window or the front lawn. The signs are replaced by 3D visualization and online sale catalogues. On websites with high page rank…of course!
