Introduction:
At first glance this historical residential complex dating back to the Roman times is delightful with all it's ornate details, but this will not prepare you for the true beauty you will find inside. This house located on Vlasska street in Mala Strana is called 'the house of the three red hearts' which is clear as you gaze above the portal to view a dark red heart and fancy pastel ladies adorning the facade above the entranceway. These 'house signs' are one of the many charms of this area. Before 1770 when street numbers were established, merchants, notable citizens, and tradesmen would have a symbol of their trade, their initials, or some other emblematic design carved or painted on the front of their house, which was in fact, in place of the 'address'. Once you enter the sturdy wooden doors decorated with two intelligent brass owls and two knockers representing royal lion heads you will be amazed to find yourself in a private ivy-covered inclosure fit for a king and queen. The soothing greenery complete with climbing ivy, a magical weeping willow and the tranquil sound of flowing water from the romantic fountains will transport you from the lively city to an enchanting garden all your own. This atmospheric inclosure is all the more special due to skillfully crafted wrought iron balconies, historical busts decorating the facades and winding spiral staircases leading to the upper floors.
Location:
A whimsical cluster of terra cotta rooftops sits quietly under the massive Prague castle, too picturesque to even imagine; this is Mala Strana. Mala Strana or the 'Little Quarter', the setting of Jan Neruda's world renowned “Povidky malostranske” (Tales of the Little Quarter) is the second oldest section of Prague and is a true Renaissance and Baroque dream for lovers of architecture and history. The area consists of stately palaces, winding cobblestone lanes perfect for a wander, lovely terraced gardens, residential gems, numerous atmospheric cellar restaurants, cafes, and pubs and the Church of St. Nicolas, one of the finest Baroque buildings in central Europe. Historically, The 'Little Quarter' was a bustling market settlement in the 8th or 9th century, echos of history can be heard as you pass through the main square of Malostranske Namesti, a tram center and virtual marketplace of czech specialties and culture. And even though this magical section of Prague rivals the Old Town in beauty, the lower number of tourists is a welcome peace for the inhabitants of these old buildings. This impressive housing complex is located on the cobblestone street of Vlasska close to various embassies, cosy cafes and even a Japanese calligraphy school. The neighborhood offers many attractive options for a stroll, the legendary medieval Nerudova (Neruda's street) with its traditional irregularly built houses, historical pharmacies and literary associations is around the corner. Also close by are the majestic Charles Bridge with sandstone statues and attractive views, and the grandiose Prague Castle with St. Vitus Cathedral. The tram stop is 5 minutes away, the metro station Malostranska is a 10 minute walk.

The flats offer original Gothic vaulting, large windows, rich fixtures and are handsomely furnished to the highest quality with the eccentric ethnic flair of Le Patio. The modern kitchens with granite countertops are efficiently equipped with great care for detail and design, perfect for preparing that fancy dinner party. Special attention should be paid when entering the sleek spacious bathrooms; select bathrooms are complete with miniature pools decorated with vivid ocean blue tiles.
