Introduction:
This new modern building was completed in the very center of Prague on Vodičkova Street, on the site of the legendary U Myšáka confectionery. The new building is connected in a thoroughly original and elegant manner to the existing building, which is also famous for its rondo-cubist facade dating from the 1920s. The project offers 3,808 m2 of state of the art office space and 3,400 m2 for retail and services. Three underground levels will provide storage space and parking for tenants. The internal layout and technical equipment of the building sensitively combines the needs of modern companies with the magic of old Prague. The exclusivity of the site is further enhanced by its attractive location in the financial and commercial center of the city, with excellent access to public transportation and private parking.
History:
The name of the building comes from the owner, Mr. František Myšák, who bought it in 1910 and built a confectionery there, which became a Prague legend. Originally built in the neo-Renaissance style, the house dates back to 1883 and was rebuilt in 1922 by the builder and engineer Josef Čapek, remodeled with its famed rondo-cubist facade from red and grey imitation crandalled stonework. The design of the new facade of the building draws on these rondo-cubist elements.
