History of the building
The history of today’s house is extraordinary rich. Originally, there was a medieval house which underwent both a Renaissance and Baroque reconstruction. Renovations to the building were also done after a fire occurred at Masna Street in 1980. Today’s Purist architecture is the work of O. Kohn and K. Kohn and belongs to unique examples of that 1930s style evident in Prague.
